Because you only live once…

We’ve just had a phone call from a nice lady from The Alan Titchmarsh Show.  As most of you are probably acutely aware, Valentine’s Day is next week and they’re looking to do a guide to finding love in the countryside and a spot of matchmaking on next Wednesday’s programme.  We normally run a mile from these things as we like you to do your own matchmaking on the site (or at least let us do it) but it’s Alan Titchmarsh…he’s a bit of a legend…our Mum fancies him…and, well, it would be a bit rude not to try and lend a hand!

They contacted us as they’re looking for an eligible single farmer/country chap in his 30s or 40s (gentlemen, we know you’re out there because we’ve approved your profiles!) who would be up for coming on the show and meeting three eligible ladies.  With a little help from Alan, said gent will hopefully meet his match and head out on an all expenses paid date that same evening – so worse case scenario it sounds like there’s a free dinner in it!

They’re also looking for three ladies to introduce to said eligible chap, so if you’re of a similar age and think you’d be a good match for a farmer, get in touch.  At the very least, it could be quite entertaining and you’d get to meet Alan… and you just never know…hell, we’d do it!!

The programme will be aired live between 2.30 and 3.30 pm on Wednesday 13th January.  It is filmed at BBC Television Centre in London (and then confusingly aired on ITV1) so candidates would need to be available to come down to London (expenses paid) for the day.
