Muddy Matches Wins East Midlands Enterprise Award!
Monday, January 11th, 2010
We’ve just found out that, for the second year in a row, Muddy Matches has won the East Midlands Enterprise award in the Countryside Alliance Awards!
This is what they had to say about us:
“Launched in March 2007, Muddy Matches is the online dating service for “muddy” (ie country loving) people, and it is proving to be a huge success across the UK and Ireland. Founded by sisters Lucy and Emma Reeves who created their own jobs so that they could continue to live in the countryside, Muddy Matches shows that loving the countryside and wanting it to thrive needn’t be purely a land-based thing. Rural businesses are increasingly embracing social networking and online marketing to spread their message beyond their immediate community, and Muddy Matches is a great example of using the internet to benefit all those who love the countryside.”
Next stop the House of Lords on 3rd February where they’ll announce which of the regional winners is to be made the national winner. There’s some really stiff competition so cross your fingers for us!!
Update:
Just back from the awards and had a great time.
Sadly we didn’t win the national enterprise award but congratulations to Machar Movies from the Isle of Whithorn, Dumfries!
