CLA Game Fair 2010
The Muddy Matches country cottage motorhome made its way to Ragley Hall, Warwickshire, at the weekend for the CLA Game Fair.
The weekend, which saw over 144,000 visitors pass through the gates, was a celebration of the countryside and had areas specialising in Gundogs, Shooting, Fishing and of course offered extensive shopping and dining opportunities.
The Muddy Matches stand was a hive of activity all weekend with people interested in knowing more about what we offer, the events we run, and of course, how to join. It was also great to welcome a number of members onto the stand who came to say hi.
Over the course of the weekend, we were delighted to meet over 25 couples (we lost count after a while!) who came up to us specifically to say that they’d met on Muddy Matches and that things were going well. We were even delighted to view a few engagement rings, and a puppy which a couple had purchased together – there’s commitment!!
Saturday was our busiest day, both on the stand and behind the scenes. Emma and Lucy had once again decided to run a tongue-in-cheek dating show in the Game Show Theatre. After many cries of ‘never again!’ from the motorhome, and after lots (perhaps an understatement) of planning, the stage was set for some fun.
With three chaps, and over 20 ladies taking part, the show saw each man interviewed by Claire Young, Apprentice finalist 2008, and after each round of questioning, the girls had the opportunity to vote with their feet – were they still in, or were they out?
From the ladies who were still ‘in’ at the end of the questions, the chap had to choose a lucky lady to take on a romantic picnic in the grounds of Ragley Hall.
The show was great fun and there was a really good buzz in the theatre – people were literally queuing outside the door to catch a glimpse of the action.
We’ve popped a few photographs on here, and we’d like to thank everyone who helped over the weekend, who came to visit us and say hi, to those who commented on the motorhome, and to those who just wanted a cuddle with our Spaniel, Morven.
How Muddy Are You?
Morven. Who could resist those eyes?
