Meet Your Own First Time Farmers

It’s not every day that you’ll find us writing about a new TV programme, but when Channel 4 announced that they were going to air a reality TV series called First Time Farmers we were pretty excited to see what they’d come up with.

The first episode of the show (broadcast on Fridays at 8pm) was well received by viewers, with 1.3 million people tuning in to see what the show had to offer, which is more than the first episode of the 2009 series of Farmer Wants a Wife received.

With three rather attractive first-time farmers on the first show there was also a lot of interest in farmer dating; so much so that Muddy Matches saw a 15% increase in traffic over the weekend and a rush of people were directed to the website by searching for ‘date a farmer’.
