Muddy Matches Wins UK Dating Award

Muddy Matches won the Best Specialist Dating Website award at the first ever UK Dating Awards!

We were chosen by a panel of dating experts (Charly Lester, Dr Andrea Kallias, Avril Mulcahy, Matt Chappell, Purdey Miles, Rebecca Perkins and Dan Winchester) who thoroughly tested each website and carried out lots of research before choosing the winners.

We were up against some popular niche dating websites including; Christian Connection, Classic FM Romance, Matchmakers Circle, My Lovely Parent, Saga Connections, Tall Dating and Toyboy Warehouse. Both Christian Connection and Toyboy Warehouse received a highly commended recommendation in the category as the judges had found it impossible to choose between the two.

We were presented with the award by Online Dating Association Chief Executive George Kidd at a glamourous ceremony at HAC in London. The event was hosted by TV presenter Rick Edwards, who enjoyed a good bit of banter with the judges and the audience.

After the presentations we got to celebrate with a glass of wine and the chance to hob-nob with fellow dating industry professionals, including Matt Hicks from ‘I Wanna Marry Harry’, who was perhaps the most recognisable person in the room as he did look decidedly like Prince Harry in the flesh.

Our beautiful award is now safely on display in the office for all to see and shows that we really are the UK’s best specialist dating website!
