If you’re looking for a date idea for your countryside loving date, here are some ideas that might take your fancy:
Horse lovers
If your date loves horses, an ideal place to go is to a point-to-point, where you can enjoy the action together. Alternatively, another equestrian themed date would be to head to a polo match.
To find point-to-point meetings, head to our country calendar.
To find polo match fixtures in the UK and Ireland, head to the Hurlingham Polo Association website.
For a more hands on date, take your date to your local riding centre and ride along together. The British Riding School has details of approved centres in the UK and the Association of Irish Riding Establishments has details of approved sites in Ireland.
Walking dates
With over 400 country parks in England alone, there’s bound to be one near to where you live. Aside from going on a relaxing walk together, there are lots of activities on offer this summer. Another good place to find outdoor activities is on the Wildlife Trust’s website where you’ll find events ranging from bat watching to mud dipping.
Outdoor theatre
From country houses to country parks, hundreds of venues are hosting outdoor theatre performances this summer. A simple search of ‘outdoor theatre’ and your location is the best way tio find them or take a look at the Telegraph’s guide to the best outdoor theatre venues.
