Heritage Weekend Dates
Thursday, September 12th, 2013
Are you looking for a cultural date that won’t break the bank and is suitable for the wet weather? Then you are in luck this weekend, because from 12th-15th September a large number of historical buildings will open for the public to explore as part of the Heritage Open Days programme.
Not only do you get a chance to see historical buildings for free that you would normally have to pay to see, you also get the chance to see buildings that are not normally open to the public, including private homes, and tunnels.
There’s also a number of outdoor activities if you prefer a more muddy experience; including guided countryside walks and medieval experience days.
Having saved your pennies on the entrance fee you’ll even have enough money to spend on tea or coffee, or you could even treat your date to lunch at one of the lovely tea rooms during the day.
Take a look at The Heritage Open Day website to find out what is available locally.
