Getting Started – Part II

In ‘Muddy Matches – Getting Started’ we looked at how to confirming your account, how to create a profile, how to upload photos, how to search for matches and how to pay for a subscription. However, we’re only just started, so here some other things you need to know about Muddy Matches…

Finding out who has viewed your profile

When you log-in to your account, you will automatically be taken to your homepage. On your homepage you will be able to see a box entitled ‘My statistics’ which will display the number of new visits to your profile. You can then on the number and see the profiles of the people who have viewed your profile.

Adding people to your favourites

Adding people to your favourites list means that you will be able to find them again quickly and it will let them know that you like them. You can add people to your favourites list by clicking on the ‘Add to favourites’ next to their name.

Sending a message

Adding someone to your favourites is a good introduction, but to start up conversation with someone you will need to send them a message. You can do this by clicking on the ‘Send a message’ button by the person’s name. Then just fill in the subject and message content.

Exchanging contact details

After you have got to know each other through the secure messaging service you will need to exchange contact details. For your safety we recommend using an email address set up specifically for online dating and that you give out a mobile number instead of a landline number.

Finding a date idea

Our Country Calendar is a great place to start if you’re looking for a public event at which to meet your new date. You could also take a look at these blog posts to find date ideas for your muddy match.

Going mobile

As well as providing a mobile-friendly version of the website we also have a Muddy Matches app which can be downloaded on iOS and Android devices. Just head to the store on your mobile device and search for ‘Muddy Matches’ for download the free app.
