Active Second Date Ideas
Friday, August 01st, 2014
Following on from the excitement of the Commonwealth Games, it’s a great time to go on an active date. So here are a few outdoor date ideas and one rainy day date idea to get your teeth in to:
Head out on the water
Row boats, canoes, sailing boats and punts – take your pick for a fun activity that you can do together. You can hire your chosen vessel from businesses based at reservoirs, rivers and canals, where you may also find a cheeky snack stop to refuel.
Take the dogs out
We’re a nation of dog-lovers and a website of dog-lovers too, so it makes sense to include your pet when you’re planning a date. Just make sure that your dog is happy around other people and other dogs before meeting up – you don’t want your date be clouded by a barrage of barking.
Follow a trail
Grab a walking book and a map and follow a route together. Trying to interpret the instructions together can be a fun way to get to know each other.
Go Bowling
Bowling is a classic date idea that isn’t just for teenagers and is a good idea if it’s pouring down with rain outside.
Head to the driving range
It always seems to work as a date idea in romantic films, so why not give it a go to see if you can have your own Hollywood moment?
Get on your bike
There are thousands of miles of bike routes in the UK and Ireland, perfect for an outdoor date in the countryside. Grab your bikes or hire some and get exploring together. The only problem is deciding whether or not to brave cycle shorts and neon colours on your second date.
