Making the Most of the Valentine’s Weekend
Friday, February 13th, 2015
The Valentine’s weekend is always busy for Muddy Matches, with thousands of people keen to get talking to potential matches.
We also have our Free Messaging Weekend running, which means that anyone who had an approved profile before midday on 13th February 2015 will be able to send and receive messages.
Here’s how you can make the most of the weekend, whether you’ve made the deadline or not:
Check your account
Log in to your account and check that it is visible. Also, double check that all your details are correct. For example, if you have forgotten to update your address after moving house, it could affect your searches if you’re looking to meet people within a certain distance of your postcode.
Remember that Muddy Matches is mobile
When you’re out and about this weekend, you can still access Muddy Matches from your phone as the website is mobile friendly.
Reply to messages
Hopefully you will have messages from people who you like. If you have, what are you waiting for? Send them a message back now!
Open the conversation
As well as replying to everyone who has written to you, why not start the conversation yourself by sending a message? Use the message to tell the person what drew you to them and what you have in common. You could also ask a question about something that they’ve mentioned in their profile, or about their profile photos.
For example,you could say:
“I absolutely holidaying in the Lake District too, have you done many of the Wainwright Walks?” – This shows that you have read their profile, establishes a common interest and opens up the conversation.
“Hi, I love you profile, you really made me laugh. Do you always find yourself in situations like that?” – This shows that you have a similar sense of humour and it’s always nice to be told that you’ve got a good sense of humour (or GCOH if you enjoy dating acronyms).
We hope that you enjoy the Free Messaging Event and look forward to reading lots of success stories in the near future!
