Peacocking
Sunday, May 22nd, 2016
Male peacocks are known for their bright plumage, their squeak and their ability to frighten small children by opening their tail feathers in one noisy move.
Today, we’re going to ignore their noisy credentials and look into how peacocking can be used to get yourself a date, without having to shake your tail feathers.
Make your Main Photo stand out
If you’re looking at lots of dating profile photos they can start to become a blur, so it’s a good idea to try out a showy photo where you are wearing a brightly coloured top, or dress in your Main Photo to make you stand out from the crowd.
An interesting hat can also help you to stand out from the crowd, especially the sort of thing that would attract the photographers at Ascot. Just make sure that your hat doesn’t obscure your face, as people want to see just how gorgeous you really are, rather than staring at a piece of fabric.
It’s always a good idea to update your Main photo as it will give people a fresh view of you, so you can try out lots of different looks for your Main Photo. However, please remember that we check through every profile and every photo that comes in to us, so we might get a little grumpy if you change it every hour on the hour!
Glitz and glam
Your additional photos are also a good place to showcase your favourite fancy dress outfits, or to show people how well you can transform from muddy boots to glitzy and glamorous attire.
Photos of you in fancy dress for a party will demonstrate your outgoing side, but fancy dress for the sake of a photo for your dating profile can look a little strange, so if you don’t have any photos of you in costume, it’s best to leave this option.
Aim to include at least one full length photo and a photo of you enjoying one of your favourite activities in your additional photos.
