Snowy Date Ideas
Thursday, January 12th, 2017
Snow, snow, snow! If you haven’t already noticed, it’s snowing in a lot of different places across the UK at the moment and there’s more predicted over the next few days.
If you’re the kind of person who dons their best winter woollies and heads out into the snow, we have some fun date ideas for you and if you prefer to hide inside, there’s a date idea for you too.
Sledging
If you have an intact sledge somewhere, why not suggest a sledging date? Head to the highest grassy spot that you can find and take it in turns to hurtle down the slope, or if you feel like sharing, you can squeeze on together.
Lots of laughter and a bit of exercise as well, what’s not to like?
Snowmen building
Show off your creative skills by building a snowman together, or compete against one another to make the best one.
Snowball fights
Snowball fights aren’t just for small children, they are also great fun if you are a grown up and it has to be one of the most affordable date ideas that you could choose.
Go skiing
It might be a little optimistic to expect enough snow in one of the UK’s 17 ski slopes to go skiing, but it’s worth keeping an eye on the ski forecast for your nearest slope.
There are also indoor slopes and dry ski slopes if you fancy skiing.
Take a snowy walk
Take a romantic walk together in the snow and admire how much it changes the scenery.
Hide by the fire and watch the snow fall
If you prefer to be safely tucked away from any slippery surfaces, you could settle down in a comfortable chair and watch the snow fall outside.
Just remember to wrap up warm, to wear grippy footwear and to be careful of slippery surfaces. It’s also a good idea to prepare your car for winter driving if you plan to drive to meet your date.
