Spring Date Ideas
Sunday, March 12th, 2017
Spring is the perfect time to get out and about in the crisp sunshine with your ‘muddy’ companion. It’s also a great excuse to use a lovely photo of two sheep getting up close to one another. So we have put together some date ideas that will help you to make the most of the longer days and all that mother nature has to offer.
Lambing
It may seem like a busman’s holiday to some, but lambing events are a sign that spring has really sprung. If your day job doesn’t involve lambing, you can find a local event to attend so that you can see new life together. Most lambing events also sell tea and cakes so that you can sit down and get to know each other a bit better.
Flower walks
March is the time for spring bulbs to appear and there are lots of organised walks across the country and lots of venues that offer self-guided tours of their grounds.
Popular walks include daffodil walks and you can even treat yourself to some seasonal plants afterwards if you met up at a historic house, or gardens that have plant sales.
High ropes courses
If you fancy a bit of a thrill on a first date, head to a high ropes course and enjoy flinging yourself through the air together.
The active nature of the date will get you working together as a team and it will take the pressure off you when you are trying to make conversation.
Head to a big city
While the weather is warm, you can take the opportunity to visit a new city to explore all of the landmarks that it has to offer. You’ll get to see everything, while avoiding the hoards of tourists that appear during the summer.
If the weather isn’t as nice as you may have hoped, you could opt for a more traditional date idea like going for a coffee, or meeting at a pub.
