Common Mistakes

Online dating isn’t a skill that you learn in school, so it comes as no surprise that most people will be a little confused by the whole process. We are here to make the process as easy as possible and to help you to avoid making common mistakes such as these…
Not writing enough
Your online dating profile text allows you to tell people who you are and what makes you unique. If you write just one line it will make you look lazy and disinterested. Also, make sure that your one line does not include the phrase ‘I don’t know what to write’ as it won’t tell anyone anything about you as a person.
Try to write a few paragraphs about what you enjoy doing and what you are looking for in a potential partner.
Writing too much
Although it’s a fantastic idea to tell people about yourself, you need to ensure that you don’t give everything away before you meet your date/s.
Aim to keep you profile text between 100 words and 5o0 words.
Not having a photo
Not having a Main Photo is a big mistake as potential dates will have no clue as to what you look like. If you have chosen not to have a Main Photo for professional reasons, let people know that in your profile text and offer to send them a photo when you get to know them a bit better.
Having an unclear photo
Any photo is better than nothing, but the best option is to have a clear photo that shows what you really look like now.
Try not to choose a blurry photo, a stretched image, or one where you are obscured by shadows.
Not contacting people
Don’t just sit back and wait for people to get in contact with you – be brave and send a message to anyone who takes your fancy!
