Sporty Date Ideas
Saturday, June 09th, 2018
The French Open is drawing to a close and the World Cup is about to kick off, so I thought that this would be a good time to indulge in a sporty date with your muddy match. Sporty dates encourage a sense of playful fun that will help to curb the first date nerves.
Here are some suggestions for sports that you can enjoy on a first date.
Tennis
With all the lovely sunshine that we have had recently, we have the perfect conditions for a game of tennis. Hire a court (usually through your local council, or leisure centre), grab some rackets and balls and get ready for a bit of friendly competition.
Other racket sports as badminton, or squash will also be good date ideas for getting active together.
Cycling
Get on your bikes together and enjoy spending the day exploring a new area together, or just getting to know each other in a familiar location, like a country park. In some country parks, you can even hire a tandem, which will make it easier to stay within chatting distance of one another.
Paddleboarding
Stand up paddleboarding (SUP) is becoming more and more popular, therefore lots of paddleboarding locations are popping up around the UK and Ireland. On the floaty board, it’s easier to keep together than if you were to try other board sports like surfing.
If you want to get to know each other in a group setting, you could even try SUP Yoga.
Trampolining
Trampolining might seem like a distant memory from school, but trampolining centres are now being opened up for adults and children alike. If you can find a time when the centre isn’t too busy, it is a fun way to unleash your childish sense of fun with your new date.
