Dating for Dog Lovers
Friday, June 22nd, 2018
Today is Take Your Dog to Work Day, which means that lots of workplaces will be allowing dogs into work for the day. For many muddy people, their dogs are the sidekicks in work and play; rounding up sheep on the farm and retrieving game during weekend shoots.
So how do you include your loyal friend in your dating life?
Display their photo
Your Main Photo should only show your own head and shoulders, so try not to obscure your face with your dog’s head. However, your additional photos allow you to show off photos that include your dog and an affectionate photo with your pet will show your caring side.
Mention them in your text
If you dog is the current love of your life, why not give them a mention in your dating profile? For example, you could say, ‘I like nothing more than heading out for a long walk with my crazy springer spaniel’.
Other people will be able to use the mention of your dog as a way to start a conversation with you, if they have the same breed of dog, or if they particularly like that breed.
Take your dog on your date
Taking your dog on your date with you can be a risky business if your dog is overly possessive, aggressive, noisy, or excitable. However, if your dog is well-behaved and happy to meet new people, then taking your dog on your date wil help you both to relax, due to their calming effect. Ask your date if they are happy to bring their pet too and make sure to choose a dog-friendly venue for your date.
People often say that dogs are a good judge of character, so it will help you to find out whether or not your date is a good match for you if your furry friend takes a liking to them.
