Who Are The Most Successful Daters?
Friday, November 09th, 2018
You might think that the most successful people on dating websites are those who are really, really, ridiculously good-looking, or those who run multi-million pound businesses, but in truth it is the people who are proactive who manage to beat off the competition. *It also helps to live in a populous area and not to be so fussy that your ideal match doesn’t actually exist, but that’s another blog post entirely.
So, what steps can you take to be more proactive and thus, more successful?
It might sound obvious, but the most important step is to sign up for an online dating website in the first place. Saying ‘I should really try online dating’ and not doing it isn’t going to get you anywhere.
If you are unsure about which websites to try, you could ask your friends for advice, or search for reviews online.
Once you have signed up you will need to write your online dating profile text and choose a selection of photographs that tell people about who you are. There is lots of advice within these dating blog posts about what to write and how to choose your photographs.
Add people to your ‘favourites’ list
Adding people to your ‘favourites’ list serves two purposes—it helps you to keep a record of all of your favourite people and it shows them that you are interested in them.
Send the first message
Once you have created your favourites list, the next step is to send out messages. This is where most people fall short, as they sit back and wait for people to get in touch with them. By being proactive and sending the first message, it means that you will come across as confident and it will get the attention of people who may not have seen your online dating profile.
Propose a date
If you have been messaging someone and it is going well, then suggesting a date idea will stop you from becoming virtual pen-pals and allow you to see if you fancy each other when you meet in person.
