Important changes to the way ‘hidden’ profiles work on Muddy Matches
As an award-winning online dating website trusted by over ½ million outdoors-loving singletons, ensuring the comfort, welfare, and happiness of all our ‘muddy’ members is of utmost importance to us at Muddy Matches.
That’s why we are constantly looking at ways to freshen up the Muddy Matches country life online dating experience. Autumn is the season of change; and it is necessary we make a few changes of our own.
Throughout October 2020 – we are tinkering with a few features across the website; taking on board feedback from across our wonderful member community, and in keeping with our traditional values of honesty and openness.
One immmediate change to be made concerns those profiles with us that have been ‘hidden’ by the member through their account settings.
Currently, a member can choose to hide their profile, for a variety of reasons. Hidden profiles are not visible in search results for others to engage with, but members who have opted for ‘hidden’ mode are still able to run searches, view profiles, browse photos and access all lists such as old messages, visits, favourites and winks. Subscribers can also reply to messages already received to keep the conversation flowing.
From Wednesday 14 October, this will all change; Hidden really will mean hidden.
Choosing to ‘hide’ will mean profiles are temporarily deactivated, even if you hold an active subscription, or are on auto renewal terms with us.
All current and future members with hidden profiles will see access blocked to all the much-loved features and functions of the site, except account settings/my profile.
Hidden profiles will no longer be able to:
• run searches, or create new saved searches
• browse profiles or view photos
• favourite or wink at other members
• access your stored winks, favourites, visits or ‘Its Mutual’ lists
• use the CONNECT function to favourite
• read and reply to any messages received
• access the messages inbox to see who’s messaged you
• send new messages (subscribers/premium subscribers only)
If you have an active subscription with us but you have chosen to hide your profile, please note your subscription will continue to run its full duration. You will have restricted service; this does not qualify for a refund and any auto renewal payments due will continue to be collected.
Does this affect you? Don’t fret; just change the status of your profile back to being visible on the site – through your account settings – to unlock all the features again and access will be restored.
An email has been sent to all members with hidden profile status on 7 October 2020 advising of this change.
