5 dating tips from a real life mud lover
Thursday, May 19th, 2022
‘Know your core values and don’t sweat the small stuff.’
That’s the real life advice, given to help get the best out of country-life dating, by one Gloucestershire single who should know; she unearthed ‘the one’ last year after putting in the hard graft.
Originally from Oxfordshire, dog lover, and Park Run fan, Trish joined Muddy Matches in October 2019, actively seeking a soulmate on – and – off for two years after separation.
Her chatty, fun profile – asking for someone with ‘their own teeth and sense of humour to ‘share smiles and daft chats’ with – has drawn plenty of admiring glances. She attracted 3,000 views and inspired over 1,100 message exchanges.
Now, after putting herself out there and giving it a good go, she is one year into a fully fledged country connection with David, who she met in February 2021.
We asked Trish for her top 5 tips to making the most of your time on Muddy Matches:
- Know what your core values are
- Seek someone with similar values (Muddy Matches helps a lot here)
- Stay positive
- Not everyone will like, message or even view you – but don’t fret over those people
- Take the time to engage with those who reach out to you
Her profile was also clear about the type of person she’d most likely not be compatible with – but handled in a friendly way; “My benchmark is if you cannot smile at the sheer joy of Strictly Come Dancing then maybe we’re not suited!”
Trish added, ““I’ve made friends, male and female on Muddy Matches and ultimately I met my new partner. So you too may just find the one.”
