A very Muddy wedding

We love a good wedding here at Muddy Matches. And by ‘good’ we mean any wedding that has a free bar. And cake. Lots of cake. So we were delighted to hear about Sarah and Mark’s recent nuptials – two people whose lives were transformed when they found each other on Muddy Matches. Many congrats to you both!

Lucky to have found each other

“I originally joined Muddy Matches back in 2014. I went on a couple of dates and started seeing someone but it only lasted a few months. Christmas came and I decided 2015 would be a good year, so I rejoined Muddy Matches to see if there was anyone out there for me. I went on several dates over the next few months but didn’t find anyone that was quite right for me.

At the beginning of August 2015, Mark sent me a message but my subscription had expired, so I signed up for another month because I was curious to read the message! Mark had been on several dates too, but hadn’t found a match. We messaged each other for a couple of days, swapped numbers and arranged a date. Conversation on the phone was easy and the messages flowed.

We hit it off straight away! One date turned into many dates… then one year, then two years!
We were just right for each other, a bit like ‘hand and glove’. I loved the farming life and settled into it well (note – I’m not from a farming family). Mark stepped into my life too; he skydived with me, we went on a trip to the Lakes, a trip to Barcelona and he met my motorbiking family.

Time flew by, I moved in with Mark, I had my third lambing season approaching, calving all year round with the dairy heard, and working full time. Then on Christmas Eve 2017 he proposed!
Just over eight months later and on the 7th of September we were married. It was a perfect day surrounded by all our family and friends.

We married at my local church, me and Dad arriving on his little grey Ferguson, with the motorbike club escorting us, then onto the family farm for a marquee reception! We did it all ourselves with the help of family and good friends, made everything unique to us, which made it even more special.
