“We are so glad we joined Muddy Matches”
Thursday, August 18th, 2022
Meet the horse lover who met her cattle farmer soulmate on Muddy Matches, after more mainstream dating apps had failed to deliver.
Some things are just meant to be.
“We both tried eHarmony and Bumble, but it was on Muddy Matches that we found our perfect match” says Cotswolds country girl Ella, after meeting cattle farmer Robert online dating.
Both 80% muddy, and living within twenty-five miles of each other, Ella and Robert connected whilst country life dating with us in June 2022.
Ella, a game fair, gun dog and horse enthusiast, from Chipping Norton, signed up looking for a ‘genuine and loyal relationship’ with someone likeminded, who shared her passion for life outdoors.
She hoped to unearth someone who appreciated her love of shooting season but, as a single mum to two daughters, was also family oriented.
Robert, who was sufficiently distracted by Ella’s profile to message her whilst tending to the farm’s 1,100 cows in Oxfordshire, had only joined three days before.
He’d had ambitions to find ‘the one,’ and cheekily suggested he ‘could do with a hand on the farm and company when walking the dog.’
His luck was in.
After talking about livestock, bottle feeding lambs and Stranger Things on Netflix during a brief, day-long message exchange, he was to confidently hide his dating profile, and fly the nest, just 23 days later with Ella as his new girlfriend.
And, according to the pair, it has been quite the rural romance; filled with quality time together ‘going down to the cattle sheds,’ combining, harvesting, and getting equestrian-focused Ella getting used to the tractor.
“We have moved pretty quick as a couple,” Ella says of a relationship in which their first date came four days after matching online.
“We are very serious about planning our future together.” The next 12 months do indeed look busy; not least with busy farm life and Ella’s competition schedule as a horse rider.
“We have planned to move in together and are currently building our new house on the farm. We want to blend our families too, as we both have children.”
“We just wanted to say a massive thank you to Muddy Matches for finding our perfect match. We are so glad we signed up to Muddy Matches. We are so very happy.
“We would tell other singles looking to date country people to just put yourself out there. The perfect match does exist.
