Lockdown farmer love welcomes baby Elsie to the world

A country couple, whose love bloomed in lockdown after connecting on Muddy Matches, have been back in touch with a welcome update on their life together in muddy boots.

Equestrian Jade met arable and beef farmer Nick  – ‘the most attractive man I’d laid eyes on’ – whilst looking for love in the countryside with us in August 2020. That summer was filled with ‘perfect’ late night tractor ride dates, evenings in the combine harvester, and puppy love as they planned a future together on a Wiltshire farm.

After bubbling up together ‘to get through the second lockdown’ less than two months after their first real life meet, they pledged that life would be ‘less work, more play’.

How right they were.

18 months on, from a new home, and new four legged friends ‘to start the family off’, they now share their little corner of the Wiltshire countryside with baby Elsie, who was an early Christmas present in every sense of the word.

“We welcomed Our baby girl into the world on Christmas Eve 2022,” Jade tells us. “I just wanted to say thanks to Muddy Matches again. We have now been together 2 and a half years and are looking forward to our future even more!
